Established in 1992, Central Coast Chorale was formed with the commitment to presenting high quality performances of great choral music.  A haven of fine music for professional and classically trained singers to perform music for our growing audiences by established masters and contemporary composers.

The core of the Chorale’s activity is the three major concerts performed during the year. In addition, we feature in the annual City of Sydney Christmas Concert in the Sydney Town Hall in collaboration with a number of well-known choirs from Sydney.​



Music Director, Christopher Bowen OAM, is one of Australia's most prolific composers and versatile musicians. Chris has music degrees from Melbourne University and Vienna's Konservatorium der Stadt Wein as well as experience working with premier conservatoriums and opera companies.

 

He was the recipient of an Order of Australia Medal in January 2009 for his service to music as a composer, conductor and director and for his contribution to music education.
