1. Fees for 2011 are $10.00 per week ($8 if you hold a Concession Card), payable whether you are present at the rehearsal or not.  Fees are used to pay Christopher and our accompanist/s, hall rental plus $12.50 per member per quarter towards compulsory public liability insurance.  You may choose to pay in advance. There is also a special Family Rate as follows:  First member $10 or $8, second and subsequent members 50% of this price.  (Cheques can be made out to Central Coast Chorale).
2. New members are welcome to join the Chorale during any rehearsal period (see 4 below).  You may be asked to audition.  This is at our Music Director Christopher Bowen’s discretion.
3. A 75 – 80% attendance rate is required before a singer will be permitted to perform in any concert.  Members may be asked to please sign a Memorandum of Understanding or Commitment to each concert at the first rehearsal to ensure we have a full and balanced choir for the performance.  Exceptions are at the discretion of the Music Director.
4. Singers who join the Chorale within a rehearsal period for any particular concert might not be permitted to perform in this concert.  The Music Director’s decision is final and should not be taken personally.  There is often a very short rehearsal period and a great deal of work to be done.  Items are often rehearsed over several concert periods before being performed, so do not feel that this is wasted time and effort.  It is not.
5. Each member needs to have a commitment to do ‘homework’ with the music being rehearsed.  If you feel you have a problem with any of the music, please speak to Christopher.
6. Our uniform for most concerts is

LADIES – BLACK SKIRT (calf or ankle length) or BLACK SLACKS with long sleeved black blouse, black pantyhose, black shoes and dark green or plaid scarf and treble clef brooch.  The scarf will be handed out prior to a concert, and should be returned at the next rehearsal.

MEN – BLACK TROUSERS, long sleeved open-necked white shirt, black shoes.
This uniform is varied for our Christmas concerts, when both ladies and men wear blouses/shirts in plain primary colours such as red, green, blue, yellow, or white (not pastel colours).  Ladies do not wear their scarves for these concerts.

7. If you are unable to attend a rehearsal, please phone Pam Warton (4385 2164).  If you know in advance that you will miss a rehearsal, please let Christopher know.  An updated choir phone list will be given to you at the beginning of each year and up-dates as necessary.

It is important that sharing of email addresses and phone numbers is done with permission of the person whose email address and phone number is being shared. It is also important that email addresses and phone numbers are not passed onto any outside organisations without the permission of the owner of the email address and phone number.
